The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County staff is very proud of the work displayed by our 4-H clubs and members. We saw so many creative projects from fairy gardens and refinished furniture to original storybooks and exquisite photographs. We're also very impressed with the way our youth handled their livestock and small animals. You were knowledgeable on the care of your cows, chickens, sheep, horses, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits-- and even hermit crabs-- and it showed in the health of your animal. Keep up on the great work and invite your friends to join in on the experience by joining the Dallas County 4-H program!
Also, a reminder to Clover Kid parents-- August 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the extension office, we'll be having a special "Stepping Up to 4-H" meeting to help with the transition of your Clover Kid (entering into 4th grade) into 4-H. Topics will include differences in programs, opportunities and the "main things" you need to know. Please RSVP to Lisa by Tuesday, August 5. (515) 993-4281.
